
With a background in both classical and contemporary forms of Indian dance, Samaa joined the Sanskriti Arts Ensemble in 2006 where she has since become fluent in Bollywood dance.
Samaa is currently studying Nuclear Engineering in her first year at the University of Ontario’s Institute of Technology. She hopes to preserve the planet through her work by creating a sustainable source of energy for the global community.
Training in dance: Samaa Ali was introduced to Indian dance very early on, when she was only 7. She has since been able to propel her energy and exhibit her passion for dance, which has only continued to blossom. She is also familiar with Kathak and several styles of Indian folk, including Bhangra, Garba and Rajasthani.
Accomplishments: Samaa has performed live on stage as a member of the SAE for mainstream events in Toronto including Luminato's Light on Your Feet Bollywood Series Finale, “Masala! Mehndi! Masti!”, and also at the Sherbrooke Festival in Sherbrooke, Quebec. She has also recently filmed for an episode of 'The Latest Buzz' Children’s TV serial on Family Channel.
