Nirmala has been a member of the Sanskriti Arts Ensemble since 2005 and has grown tremendously as a dancer and performer. Aside from being an active member of the SAE, her commitment to Sanskriti Arts goes far and beyond as the Manager and supporting pillar for the company, she strives to take Sanskriti and Indian Art and culture to every door in Toronto and across North America.  Nirmala assists and facilitates Sanskriti Arts workshops across the country.
Nirmala is currently a Theatre Production student at Ryerson University and has recently begun training as a martial artist in Kung Fu.

Training in dance and yoga: Nirmala has been trained by Artistic Director Puja Amin in various forms of Indian folk dance, Kathak and Bollywood dance, as well as yoga. She is also one of the dance and children’s yoga instructors at Sanskriti Arts.

Accomplishments: Nirmala has performed with SAE at diverse events across Canada, including the Trillium Health Centre Foundation's Annual Diwali Gala in 2006 and 2007, the Sherbrooke Festival in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 2008 and Luminato’s Light on Your Feet series in 2008. She has also performed live on stage in concerts with Sukhwinder Singh, Devika Mathur and Bollywood Beat. Nirmala has also been cast in music videos and television shows, including her latest project for children's TV show 'The Latest Buzz'. Nirmala has gained much recognition in the media and among professionals within Toronto’s bollywood and wedding industries.
