
When Sanskriti School of Dance and Yoga started, there were 5 students; Kroopa was one of them. Kroopa has a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science from Ryerson University and is currently working fulltime as an account manager in Toronto.
Training: Kroopa started dancing when she was 10 and her passion for the art form has only increased over the years. In her early dance studies, she trained in Bharatnatyam with Sujatha Chandramohan in Muscat, Oman and is now a trained Indian Classical Dancer. Apart from Bharatnatyam, she is fluent in Bhangra, Garba-Raas, Kathak, and various other Indian folk dances.
Accomplishments: While living in India to further her education, Kroopa participated in dance competitions at her college and finished victoriously. In Toronto, she met with Artistic Director Puja Amin and started her journey with Sanskriti Arts. Kroopa has been a member of the Sanskriti Arts Ensemble since it began in 2004. Kroopa has coordinated and performed at many community events in Toronto such at Masala Mehndi Masti, Trillium fundraisers, Luminato, Panorama India, Jain Society of Toronto and Peace Day Celebrations.
